WON’T HE DO IT…I don’t know where to begin. AAH was awarded a community based contract June 2025. We received referrals for 3 families immediately for our Fatherhood Engagement Program. Thank God for the FCM that looked at our program and felt this family would be a perfect fit.
I look back over the past year of trials, tribulations and hurdles. At one point this case took a turn and had the whole team scrambling. Never say what you can’t do and what God can’t turn around. We watched this man in a matter of 3 months get sober, actively participating in classes in the evening, he started at McDonald’s part time because it was what he needed and then was blessed with an opportunity and moved to full time employment with a major factory, took every dime he had and purchased a vehicle so he could get to work and secured a NICE and clean 3 bedroom townhouse. What you see in this photo is this man’s children have been returned to him this weekend. I told the caseworker I had to bring them home. This is our first family that have been reunified…I have to give the mom her props as well. She works with the father and had no problem saying “he’s in a better position right now” to bring the kids home.
Traveling from county to county for sometimes 10 hours a day with this precious cargo to see their families. Sometimes in the worst weather and I was scared as hell traveling up the highways and byways but I had to hold it together so they would feel safe. Sometimes I would look in that lil girls eyes and see hurt, uncertainty and confusion when I had to take her back to her foster home. I knew I was a safe person for those 2 little ones. They would always hug me and after they told their parents they loved them the little boy would always say “we love you too Ms. Candice” ❤️❤️❤️
Our Fatherhood Engagement program is designed to get father’s active and engaged. Lane, thank you for all your hard work! He would not have come this far without you pouring into him.
Please pray and continue to pray for this man and his family as they begin their new chapter of restoration, rebuilding and the siblings renewing their bond. God has blessed this family.
