We’re proud to support contractors and provide top-notch boundary and mapping services for architects, engineering firms, and residential clients. We’re currently seeking a skilled and motivated Chief Surveyor to lead our Boundary Group.

About the Role:

This is primarily an office-based management position, but opportunities for field work are available. We're looking for a true leader who is ready to grow with us—both professionally and, potentially, through future ownership in the company.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

At least 5 years as a licensed Land Surveyor
Experience with laser scanning
Proficiency using Leica equipment and Carlson software
Strong leadership and organizational skills
A collaborative mindset and a passion for mentorship

Exciting progress is happening at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, and Straub Surveying is proud to be a key partner in transforming the iconic RainForest into the new Primate Forest! 🦍🌴 This massive 140,000-square-foot project is modernizing over 63,000 square feet of the existing structure and adding 33,500 square feet of new space, including the CrossCountry Mortgage Forest Home and an expanded Orangutan Forest habitat.

Straub Surveying is on-site, ensuring precision and accuracy every step of the way as this world-class destination takes shape. With construction moving full speed ahead, the Tropical Forest and Orangutan Forest are set to open in 2026, with the full project wrapping up by 2032 for the Zoo’s 150th anniversary. 🎉
