Taking a break from "de-weeping" the house - hilarious how you worded it (Amber Kyle).
I brought this Thai basil shoot from the old house. A sweet neighbor shared it with me - Amazing how it can restart from a single shoot! Trick is to root it first in a cup of water. It sat on the windowsill at our new home during the winter - planted it about a month ago. We've watered it regularly, gave it nutrients, added mushroom compost - and then 1 day it decides to start shriveling up. Literally, all of a sudden it seemed like! The leaves all started to hang down - I was so sad. π I'm a little nostalgic. We used to put this on our pizzas at the old house. So good! pizzas are my thing. I thought yeah I could just go buy another one - but it wouldn't be the same. We kept taking care of it even though it looked like it was dying. Then that same week it magically came back to life! π Wish I had a before pic for you to see...
Here's Life Lesson #1 - Don't give up - keep pressing towards the goal! our Designer can take anything & turn it into a lesson we just have to brake the noise/distractions in life to see & learn what He's trying to teach us. I learn a lot when I work in the garden....that's where humanity began with Adam & Eve in the garden in relationship with God. (not saying he can't speak to you in other places).
Life Lesson #2 - just like this basil shoot we have to root ourselves in His Living Water to be able to grow. In His will, God is the Author of bringing good out of despair - even a tiny basil shoot. If He cares about such a tiny thing - imagine how much He cares for us! ππ
