As parents, grandparents, and members of the South River community, we have a responsibility to teach our children that the things provided for them to enjoy also need to be respected and cared for.
Our parks, playgrounds, basketball courts, soccer fields, and recreation equipment are there for all of our children and families. When something is intentionally damaged, it doesn’t just hurt the Borough—it affects every child who loses the opportunity to enjoy it and every taxpayer whose dollars must be used to repair it.
Respect for our community starts at home. ❤️ Talk to your children about taking care of public property, respecting the hard work that goes into these improvements, and speaking up when they see someone destroying something that belongs to everyone.
It truly takes a village. When parents, children, neighbors, our Recreation Department, Police Department, and Borough all work together, we can keep South River a community we are proud to call home.
