Eleven years ago, I became a Realtor.

As I thought about this milestone, I found myself going back through old photos and reading the reviews my clients have shared over the years.

I smiled. I laughed. And yes… I got a little emotional.

Not because of the ratings, but because of the memories they brought back and the kindness behind the words.

It reminded me that this business has never really been about houses.

It’s about people.

It’s about being invited into one of the biggest chapters of someone’s life and earning the trust to help guide them through it.

I don’t ever take that trust for granted.

Over the past 11 years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people. Many started as clients, and many have become friends. Those relationships are what I’ll always treasure most.

Living along Virginia’s rivers, creeks, and the Chesapeake Bay means many wonderful waterfront properties are located in a FEMA flood zone. That doesn’t necessarily mean a property floods—it simply means it’s important to understand the designation, insurance requirements, and what it means for you as a homeowner.
