Congress has also passed the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which aims to accelerate housing development, though its impact may take years to become clear.

The Direct Seller and Real Estate Agent Harmonization Act (3495) would make the status of real estate agents as independent contractors more clear. It expressly adds to the Fair Labor Standards Act an exemption for them. This is an attempt to guarantee that those agents have legal clarity that accurately reflects the nature of their work.
