POLICE/FIRE 911 DISPATCHER

To establish an Eligible List for the classification of Police/Fire 911 Dispatcher, the City of Middletown will conduct an open competitive examination. All applicants will be required to take a written and listening examination on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Primary responsibilities for this position include receiving, dispatching, and processing calls and messages for police, fire and rescue services. Dispatchers rotate through three separate shifts. Qualified candidates selected for further processing will complete interview, background check, polygraph exams, and a psychological assessment. Salary Range: $51,195 to $68,679 annually plus shift differential, opportunity for overtime, and comprehensive benefits.
