January, the snowmobile goes out your own door and into your own woods. No trailer, no drive to a trailhead.

April, you learn where the ferns break ground first.

July, you float on your back in the pool while warm pine comes down out of the trees and wild fern rises off the ground at the edge of the lawn. Nothing overhead but a hawk. You can stay in there for hours and never see another person.
