One of my pet peeves is seeing trash flying out of truck beds‼️I see it daily driving Midland/Odessa!

📣Please DO NOT Carry TRASH in the back of your truck beds‼️It only ends up along our roadsides in West Texas‼️

When you're driving down the road or on Loop 250, the bed of your truck can create a wind tunnel effect, causing lightweight items and loose trash to blow out. That litter doesn't just disappear—it ends up on our roadways, in our neighborhoods, and in our environment.
Instead of tossing trash in the back of your truck, take a few extra minutes to find a trash can and dispose of it properly. Small actions can make a big difference in keeping Midland clean, safe, and beautiful for everyone.

Did you know that cardboard—including pizza boxes—can be recycled right here in Midland?
Before you recycle:
✅ Break down and flatten all cardboard boxes.
✅ Remove the greasy liner or paper from pizza boxes and place it in the trash.
✅ Recycle the clean cardboard box to give it a second life!
When you're ready, bring your flattened cardboard to the Citizens Collection Station at 4100 Smith Road.
