August in Midland has main character energy and I'm not being dramatic about it.

Tomatoes bigger than my kid's face. Sunflowers from Shomaker Farms. One last patio drink at The Commons before we trade it in for Lions gear and flannel. Farmers market vendors are already talking about packing it in for the season.

Swipe for the full list of what to squeeze in before the school buses take over our roads again.

And if you want the newsletter all the Midland girls are talking about, DM me "MIDLAND" and I'll add you myself.

You can tell when a neighborhood is loved.

Mapleton has that lived-in, well-cared-for feel — where homes are maintained, details are noticed, and there’s a quiet sense of pride throughout the neighborhood.

Located between Saginaw, Rockwell, and Salzburg Road, it offers a bit more of a country feel while still being close to Midland’s industrial parks and neighboring Freeland.

It’s not about being new or trendy. It’s about consistency, care, and a place people truly take ownership of.

For many buyers, that kind of feeling is hard to find — and even harder to leave.

This is where practical buyers land.

The Franklin neighborhood — around Ashman, Abbott, Waldo, and near Patrick — isn’t the flashiest or most talked about area in Midland, and that’s exactly why it works for so many people.

It’s steady. It’s livable. It makes sense.

You’re close to center city, US-10, and major employers, but without feeling like you’re right in the middle of everything. That balance is hard to find — and for the right buyer, it just works.

For buyers who care more about function than hype, this is the kind of neighborhood that quietly checks a lot of boxes.

Three families, three beautiful stories, and the honor of guiding them home. 🏡
One family was ready for their next chapter, and found it in this charming tri-level. Another saw potential in an acre of possibilities, ready to build their dream with their own two hands. And a future emergency medicine resident is settling into their new home before starting an incredible residency journey at Covenant this summer.
This is what real estate means to me. It's not just about the transaction, it's about understanding where you are in life and finding the space that fits who you're becoming. I'm so grateful to have walked alongside these families through this pivotal moment.
More than a move. đź’š

Buying my first home in my 20s changed everything for me… and honestly, a lot of what I believed at the time wasn’t even true.

Like thinking I needed a huge down payment (so many people still believe this 🙋‍♀️)… when in reality, many loan programs allow buyers to get started with much less.

Or thinking my first home had to be “perfect”… when really, it just needed to be a starting point.

That first step? It’s what builds confidence, equity, and options for your future.

If you’ve ever felt like buying a home is “not for you yet”… I wrote this blog to walk you through what most first-time buyers wish they knew sooner 👇

If this resonates with you (or someone you know), share it or send it their way 🤍

đź’› First-Time Buyer Story đź’›

"Highly recommend Amanda — Our experience couldn’t have gone any better!! As first-time home buyers, in their early 20s and looking in an area we had lived in for less than a year. We purchased our first home with so much confidence and felt ready… couldn’t have done it without her!

From the start, Amanda was extremely transparent with us and taught us everything we needed to know about buying a home. Communication was prompt and outstanding.

A strong relationship was quickly built which allowed us to really trust her advice and knowledge. We never doubted and always felt Amanda was on our side—regardless of what direction we’d potentially go in throughout the process."

Helping first-time buyers feel confident, informed, and truly supported is one of my favorite parts of what I do. If you’re wondering if buying is possible for you, I’d love to help you take that first step. 🏡✨

You don’t have to choose between space and location.

Chippewa Towsley offers larger lots and a more quiet, country feel — while still being close to downtown Midland and just minutes from the Chippewa Nature Center.

Bordered by the Tittabawassee River, Ashby, and Gray Rd., this area is perfect for those who want a little more room, a little more nature, and still easy access to everyday life.

It’s a different kind of balance — and for the right buyer, it just makes sense.
