In the middle of this virus "shelter in place" thing going on, I just wanted to share:
The people of West Texas are doing great! We got a big jump-start on the sheltering early on. For some of us, this is week 3, with 2 more to go it seems. Schools are closed for the rest of the month, but some schools are running virtual classrooms. Kids are getting creative with their time, out of necessity, but this is a good thing! They are learning there is more to life than cell phones and laptops and game boxes.
And we are ALL learning to appreciate each others company! "Distance makes the heart grow fonder." So I hope when we all emerge from our homes in the coming weeks, we have a new appreication for work, for social gatherings, for family and friends. Use this time to your advantage! Call or email those people you've been meaning to reach out to, but didn't have the time! Because you do now! Check in on someone you've been thinking about, just to let them know someone has been thinking about them! It really does mean a lot.
Take care, stay safe. And drop me a line!
Thinking of all of you,
