Home inspection nuggets:

- New homes still have a lot of issues.

- Flipped homes have a lot of good cosmetics but flippers cut corners on electric, plumbing, and structure issues, especially in crawlspaces.

- Rented homes have been rode hard with very little maintenance.

- Always have cast iron drains in a slab inspected by a professional sewer lateral inspection.

- Homes built in the late 70s more than likely have solid aluminum wiring that should be evaluated by a qualified electrical professional with aluminum circuit wiring experience.

- Atlas chalet shingles should be replaced, they blister, crack and leak.

- Always hire a good inspector when you buy a home.
