We have been waiting, praying, hoping and dreaming about the day we could finally make this announcement… and yes, I am in tears writing this. 🥹❤️
Alexis has officially been ACCEPTED to High Point University’s Workman School of Dental Medicine!!!
To say we are over the moon proud doesn’t even begin to describe it! Getting into dental school is a MASSIVE accomplishment. High Point interviews incredible applicants from all over, and their incoming class is only 60 students. Alexis earned a spot in the very first group of interviews AND was in the first group to receive an acceptance! 🥹
After graduating from James Madison University a year early, Alexis has spent over a year at Penterson & Booth Dentistry as Dr. Stephen Booth’s dental assistant. Dr. Booth, Dr. Lynn Booth, Dr. Gray Thomas and the entire team have taught, mentored, encouraged and loved our girl so well. There will never be enough thank-yous for everything they have done for her. ❤️ A huge thank-you also to Dr. Julia Durham and Dr. David Durham for always encouraging her!
And in the most perfect moment… Alexis got THE CALL while she was at work! 🥹❤️ Sweet Shawna captured it on video, and watching the exact moment one phone call changed her life forever is something we will treasure always.
Dentistry isn’t just something Alexis decided to do — it is truly her passion. She has dreamed of becoming a dentist since she was little, and watching that little-girl dream become REAL is almost more than this mama’s heart can take. ❤️
We prayed that God would open the right door, at the right school, at the right time — and He did. 🙏🏻

Tomorrow Harrison moves into Liberty University! I just can’t even believe it. I am so proud of him, excited for him and the huge plans God has for him and super sad all wrapped into one!
As a mom- there are no words to describe it. 2 vehicles are loaded up. He had to have all the essentials like a comfy chair and his huge monitor and his mom made him have an air purifier so he will stay well. As you can see our priorities are so different. We love you so much Harrison and are so proud of you!
