Inspiration is everything. That’s always my jumping off point before embarking upon any redesign/renovation project. Before the days of IG and Pinterest, a folder filled with ripped out magazine images of beautiful spaces permanently graced my mail table, and now modern technology affords us the ability to do it all digitally! Each of these images holds elements that I plan to incorporate into our bathroom renovation- can you guess what specific elements from these images I’m leaning towards?? 📸 cred for image #1 -

This is a project that has been 12 years in the making. This is the only room in our house that has not changed a single bit since we moved here in 2013. I kept meaning to paint it at least, but never got around to it. When we first purchased our home, I thought the bathroom was amazing because it’s so big- I just learned this week that in fact it has over 300 ft.² of floor space (including closet floors). However, floor space does not always translate into functional space, as was the case with this bathroom. Our shared double sink vanity was only 58 inches wide, which is smaller than the standard size vanity. The lack of counter space, combined with overall lack of linen/toiletry storage, has driven me crazy for years. The overall renovation plan will not change the footprint significantly, but will result in more functional space for the way we use it. We are getting rid of the whirlpool bath tub since we’ve never used it, and instead we will run the new vanity the length of the wall. Stick around for updates and progress pics!

is the best day- and even better when it’s with past clients! I helped this sweet family move here from Boston, MA just 5 short years ago. With their growing family came the need to “grow” their house- and grow it they did, snagging this beautiful renovated North Side home with 3 finished levels and quality finishes throughout. I’m so excited for them and tbh I’m a little jealous of their gorgeous primary bath retreat. for a few pics of the inside of this gorgeous home. I worked with on this one, and it was a true pleasure!
