The Milford Theater, located at 114 E. Catherine Street opened in 1911 as a vaudeville theatre. It soon became a movie theatre, and converted back to a place for live performances several decades later.

🏛️ From Murray Building to The Hawley Hub | Hawley, PA

Erected in the late 1800s and appearing on Hawley's 1872 map, this building on Main Avenue was the commercial cornerstone of downtown for over 167 years as the home of Murray Company — a business started by Captain Ed Murray in 1829 that grew from a canal-side store into a full-service hardware, appliance, heating, and agricultural enterprise. The company closed permanently in 1996. In 2020, educators Justin and Alison Hoffmann purchased and restored the historic structure, transforming it into The Hawley Hub — now housing the Eddy Studio (dance, yoga & theatre classes) and Queen of Cups Coffee & Vintage. Recognized by the Wayne County Historical Society for its adaptive reuse, the building continues to serve its community — just in a whole new way.

Four pictures of The Arlington, formerly located on the corner of Christian Hill Rd. And 2001 in Milford.
The Arlington was a “home like” hotel that served visitors to Milford who disliked the usual public hotels.
The Arlington was built around 1890, and operated until 1981 when it was badly damaged by a fire.
In 1983, the American Legion purchased the property, and built their building.
(As a side note: A fun story I read says that Christian Hill Road got it's name, because navigating that road in a horse an buggy was quite treacherous and you had to be a "good Christian" in order to not swear while driving the road!)
