🏡 Friday night date night… touring our construction site 😂

Rachel and I had some fun walking through our Snohomish house build tonight, and it’s finally starting to feel like a HOME! Most of the walls are up, and we’re moving on to trusses next week. 🙌

Of course, Rachel used the walkthrough as an opportunity to remind me of all her “must-haves.” 😂

Tall interior doors ✅
All the cabinets she wants ✅
A massive closet ✅
And apparently… I’ve been generously given one little corner of it. 😂

Rachel put together a fun video walking through the house and giving me all of her interior design ideas. I’m starting to realize my role in the design process is mostly just saying, “Sounds good, babe.” 🤣

It’s pretty damn cool watching the home we’ve talked about for so long actually take shape. ❤️🏡

Next up: second floor + trusses!

🏠 Snohomish Build Update

We’re moving right along! Interior walls are up and the layout is officially starting to take shape.

Tomorrow, we’ll start setting the second-floor joists, followed by roof trusses next week. It’s pretty awesome watching this one come out of the ground and finally start looking like a home.

🔨 Opened Up in Mountlake Terrace!

We’ve got this home opened up and are making some important structural upgrades. Our crew is pouring new footings and installing framing for a new beam to meet the jurisdiction’s requirements and bring everything up to current framing code.

Once we get our inspection signed off, it’s time to start putting this home back together — drywall, flooring, millwork, and all the finishing details.

Sometimes remodeling means going backward before you can move forward! 💪🏠

🏡 We’re at the finish line on our Bellevue Whole Home Remodel!

After months of work, this custom remodel is coming together beautifully, and we’ll be wrapping things up this week. 🙌

Right now it’s all about the finishing touches — cabinet hardware is going on, backsplash is being completed, light fixtures and plumbing fixtures are being installed, and carpet goes in this week. Then it’s time for the final clean and handoff!

We can’t wait to share the finished product. This home has undergone an incredible transformation, and we’re excited to see it all come together.

All in a day’s work at our personal home build! 🏡🚜

Trees are down, limbs are piled, logs are ready for the mill, and the site is cleaned up. Now we’re moving dirt and getting started on the foundation dig!

Pretty awesome seeing this property transform so quickly. One step closer to bringing our home to life! 🙌

A dream we’ve been talking about for years is finally becoming reality. 🏡

Rachel and I are officially getting ready to break ground on our personal home! Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be tackling all of the site work, and before we know it we’ll be pouring foundations and standing walls.

The home will be going on the right side of the property, with the shop on the left. Seeing it all come together is surreal, and we couldn’t be more excited for the journey ahead.

We’re also incredibly thankful for the amazing friends and trade partners who are helping make this happen. Huge shoutout to Torin McIntyre with McIntyre Earthworks and Joey Meranto with Meranto Construction. We appreciate you guys and can’t wait to build something special together.
