A Star is Re-Born! The Huntington Hotel at 1075 California Street is set to reopen in early 2026 following a preservation-driven restoration of the iconic 1922 Georgian building. Led by Flynn Properties and Highgate, with architecture by BAR Architects & Interiors, the project carefully balances historic integrity with modern hospitality.
Now listed on the Historic Register, the hotel will reopen with 143 rooms and suites, a nearly 1,500-sf penthouse, the return of The Big Four restaurant, and a reimagined Nob Hill Spa. A true revival of one of San Francisco’s great legacy assets.

Disclosure is paramount in any real estate transaction, I applaud this new rule. New HOA Balcony Inspection Rules (SB-326) ~ If you’re buying or living in a condo, HOAs must now share their Exterior Elevated Elements (EEE) inspection reports — covering balconies, decks, walkways, and exterior stairs.

Each report must list:
Inspection date - Total units + units with EEEs - Number of EEEs inspected - Any safety issues - and -Inspector certification. HOAs must keep these reports for 18 years. This applies to buildings with 3+ attached units.
