Every agent has a story about the first time a home caught them off guard. Here's mine.

I tell clients to think practically, to look at the work needed, the potential upside, and not get carried away with the feeling alone. In 1999, on a whim during the drive back from a weekend in Tahoe, my husband at the time and I cut through Mill Valley to look at a couple of houses. No plan, no pre-approval. We walked through two homes on Lovell Avenue and fell in love with the second one. That was the decision.

What I do professionally now is help clients hold two things at once: the feeling that tells you where you want to live, and the analysis that tells you whether a specific home is the right one. I didn't skip the second part myself, once the heart had decided, I went through the location, the commute, the values, the schools, all of it.

More than 30 years of watching people buy homes has taught me that emotion isn't the enemy. It's the point. What gets people into trouble is asking it to answer questions it was never equipped to answer.

I've lived on Lovell Avenue since 1999, and I bring that same balance, heart and analysis both, to every client I work with today. And sometimes, you just "know," and you make it work even when it isn't the most practical choice.

Inventory Stayed Tight. June continued Marin's ongoing supply story. Well-qualified buyers competed for a genuinely limited pool of homes, not a wider selection, and homes in sought-after neighborhoods moved quickly when priced and presented right.

Tech Wealth Kept Demand Strong. Continued momentum in AI and tech, paired with strong stock market performance, is translating into real buying power for Bay Area professionals. That wealth effect is showing up directly in Marin, where affluent buyers continue moving with confidence even as overall supply stays constrained.

Preparation Still Mattered. In a market this competitive, well-prepared, well-presented homes continued to stand out and perform.
