He worked as a nurse for several years, developing an innate ability to help people by connecting and letting them know he is by their side to provide care. Working with first-time and move-up buyers and sellers is a pleasure for Rich — he loves being the good guy and rooting for the underdog. Proud of his community, Rich volunteered with Pacific Islanders Together and Harvest, feeding close to 2,000 people every week during the pandemic. He’s also vice president of Young Entrepreneur Success, an association that gathers professionals from all walks of life to brainstorm, mastermind, further networks, and contribute to society. Rich draws from the strength sown from his past to achieve clients’ homeownership dreams the same way he did for his family. And now that he’s armed with the knowledge and experience to back his already-impressive skill set, success is the only result.

There’s something about starting the year this way that feels right.

Helping family. Being invited into something meaningful in the lives of people I love. It sets a tone. A reminder of why I do this in the first place.

We grew up together. Same city. Same roots. And now here they are, building a life for their son, growing their roots in home they can call their own. Being able to play even a small part in that… that’s magic to me.

If this is how the year begins, I’m excited for what’s ahead.
Grateful to be of service. Grateful to be trusted. Grateful to be close enough to feel it.

Good things to come, I’m manifesting it.

It’s your birthday. I don’t mean to make this about me and tell the world how much I adore you. But coming across this photo, seeing that look in those eyes?… Marrying you and creating our family has been my proudest flex.

Put us and everything else aside and let’s just focus on you real quick…

You make everyone’s lives better without even being asked to. One of your main love languages are acts of service and I’ve witnessed countless moments where you love on someone through your creativity. One of your superpowers that never fails to make people feel so special and important. One of my favorites.

Our boys are so lucky to have you as their mother. They do their jobs of testing us so well, don’t they? It’s all the moments, in the in betweens where I get the feeling that you’re raising two of the best human beings the world is going to love. You also help me be the best Father I can be, especially when the days are extra heavy.

You’re the cheat code to life, my secret weapon that I haven’t unleashed, my favorite part of my favorite song. My Queen… tough on the outside and ooey gooey delicious can I have some more of that please in the inside… hope you’re smiling because I got plenty more where that came from. 😘

What do you see? It’s obvious right? Chaos at a standstill? The freeze moment like something right out of Toy Story when someone was around. A beaten up couch from toddler friendly wrestling moves and countless pillow forts. Skywalker’s speeder that’s occasionally used as a table for whatever’s on the impromptu “date night” menu once the monsters are finally in bed.

I see a house well lived in. A snapshot in our family timeline, albeit constantly messy but infinitely times more beautiful. Perfect even. Ha… perfect despite the madness.

I’m also reminded that our boys won’t always have their small cute little voices and always wanting to hold or hug us. Living the dream, am I right?

Any other parents tired or burnt out, out there? If you’re reading this, this one’s for you…

Cheers to you that’s getting it done as a single parent. Cheers to you that’s still getting it done while getting a degree or building a career. Cheers to you mama, getting it done even while carrying a weight that no one fully understands in the moment. Cheers to my fellow dads who give a f**k, that show up and show out. Cheers to all of us, trying to figure s**t out through all the damn noise and conflicted inner talk. I see you. Cheers to my fellow parents out there going through the scariest, toughest, health challenge they’ve ever encountered. I’ve BEEN praying for y’all.

I’ve said it once and I don’t mind saying it again, when you think parenting is hard, it just means you’re doing it right.

From one damn good parent to another… LOVE.
