Pics from our logging job. The three pictures with the field shows the landscape after the harvest. Minimal visibility of any change to the landscape. Other pictures show the skid trail, the crew did a very good job at minimizing the logging footprint.

The picture with the treetop is a picture of perspective. Some people can't see past the "mess" that happens when timber is harvested. That's totally fine.
Other people see the young White Oaks and know that because some competing trees have been eliminated, these trees are well on there way to developing into mature hardwoods

Always be mindful when you see rocks stacked in a specific method when you're in the woods. These are property line corners, not to be moved or destroyed. Years ago they would use specific landmarks when describing property lines on deeds. Most rocks on property corners will have a chisel mark on top showing the direction of the property line

O boy, came across some oldies, this was about 22 years ago, Yowsers!
The day my brand new log skidder was delivered to our job site.
Harvesting big timber, 2 poplar logs fill the width of the log trailer.
My uncle Jonas cutting timber.
