The flyer that started it all! This popped up today as a memory on Facebook and it was funny seeing this, because I had forgotten what the flyer looked like.
This little flyer had a big impact on my life because it lead to my first professional job in construction.
10 years ago I left my first corporate job out of college (me and cubicles didn't mesh) and I decided to start my own Landscaping and Home Repair business. I received a phone call for an estimate for some landscaping work. I met with the gentleman and long story short, he told me his company was hiring for an Assistant Project Manager position. He told me to send him a resume if I was interested. A few weeks later I was sitting in their office for a job interview, and I was fortunate enough to receive an offer. I thought it would be really cool to learn how to build homes from the ground up, so I put my dreams of owning my own business on hold for about 8 years.
This flyer and that first job in construction truly changed my life forever.
Today, 10 years later, I am on my own and building projects I wouldn't have dreamed of back then.
Some have heard this story, but I'd figured I'd share because it made me chuckle today when I saw that flyer pop up and remind me of this journey I've been on since I handed that flyer out door to door.
I'm blessed to be where I am and can't wait to see what this year, and the next 10 bring for the business and my career in construction.

Huge transformation in our latest kitchen project! We removed a wall, and rearranged the layout to create a more open and functional space for our clients. This one turned out great!
