Last week, we gathered at The Stissing Center in Pine Plains to introduce something we’ve been working toward with intention.

A partnership between Hyalite Builders, Casa Marcelo Interior Design Studio, and Charles Matz Architects — grounded in a shared belief that the best projects emerge when design, architecture, and construction align from the very beginning.

The evening brought together clients, collaborators, peers, and friends for conversation, live music, and a behind-the-scenes look at the structural rehabilitation currently underway at this remarkable historic venue.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us, asked thoughtful questions, and contributed to an atmosphere of curiosity and connection. The energy in the room reinforced why this collaboration exists — to establish a higher standard of project delivery through unified vision and exceptional ex*****on.

Congratulations to Chef Daniel Boulud , partners SL Green Realty Corp. and the entire team at Le Pavillon on receiving their first !
Deemed “The Chapel in the Church of One Vanderbilt,” Le Pavillon sits directly across from Grand Central in Midtown’s tallest tower. Construction was lead by Hyalite owner Matt Soleau, completed in May of 2021. The 19,000 sq. ft. build includes a 2,000 sq. ft. indoor garden, a custom chandelier that dangles above the main bar and, of course, a world-class kitchen. It is a true culinary oasis for both travelers and NYC residents alike.

We are proud to be partnering with the team at North River Architecture & Planning, PC on their project in Stone Ridge, NY. This past week, it was all hands on deck to complete the interior trim and Millwork packages, even Tully helped out!

Passive home building is a set of design principles for attaining a rigorous level of energy efficiency while also creating comfortable indoor living spaces. By embracing the core concepts behind the passive building standard, we are able to build structures that are better for people and planet.

We had a ton of fun this week installing kitchen cabinets at our project in Ancramdale, NY. Always nice to set up a saw station with the hills of the as a back drop!

Can't wait to finish off this kitchen with quartz countertops from MSI Surfaces, and a porcelain tile backsplash from Bedrosians Tile and Stone. Our stone fabricators will be here next week to template.

We are looking to add an experienced lead carpenter to our team. Ideal candidates have experience in wood and timber framing, sheetrock, doors, moldings and cabinetry installation. All of our projects include a high level of trim and cabinetry installation where attention to detail is a must. We are a very busy company with job sites throughout the Hudson Valley, Westchester County and Litchfield County.

Competitive salary range and compensation, DOE. Overtime is available.

Almost 80 years ago (Halloween; October 31st, 1942) this masonry chimney was decommissioned and capped off. From what we can tell, this was part of a home renovation of the original, turn-of-the-century structure, by the Brower family.

The ‘42 renovation converted an adjoined barn to additional living space, and relocated the heating plant to a more central location. It also resulted in a galley kitchen, that has since been through several “spooky” renovations…

Fast forward to 2022: What started as a quick refresh quickly evolved into a full gut renovation, and design-build new kitchen. We corrected several severe structural defects, upgraded and enlarged the ancient windows plagued by dry-rot, and replaced the failing batt and blown-in insulation with new closed-cell, high efficiency spray foam.

Walls have been closed up, cabinets are going in, and we’re rounding the corner on the finishing touches. Follow along as we bring this kitchen up to date! We’ve got some cool gadgets and features to show off!
