24th ANNUAL DOWNTOWN MILLVILLE CAR SHOW AUGUST 9th
Millville, New Jersey. July 21, 2014 Millvilleʼs popular
downtown car show featuring antique and classic cars will hold its 24th annual show on Saturday, August 9th from 9 AM to 3 PM in the Glasstown Arts District. High Street will be closed from Main Street to Broad Street to accommodate the hundreds of cars on display. The Greater Millville Chamber of Commerce and the Garden State 50ʼs Auto Club host this annual event. This yearʼs major sponsors
are Bottinoʼs ShopRite of Millville and South Jersey Gas.
Carole Plowman, who co-chairs the event along with Earl Sherrick, noted, “Once again we are bringing back the popular girl singing group the ʻAngeltonesʼ. They will perform top 40 oldies at the Glasstown Plaza located at High and Sassafras Streets. Additional entertainment will be provided by SNJ Today in the 400 block
of High Street, as well as DJ Chris Randazzo who will be spinning songs from the 50ʼs, 60ʼs and 70ʼs throughout the day. Chris will be located at the Glasstown Plaza.
Street activities will include the Cumberland County Martial Arts Center performing at 1:00 PM at High and Mulberry Streets, and childrenʼs events at High and Vine Streets.
“The tradition of having a great mixture of music, entertainment and
demonstrations will continue to make this year another great family event. And as always, the downtown shops, galleries and restaurants will be open so there will be lots to enjoy throughout the day,” Plowman reported. Cars made before 1989 are eligible to participate, as well as special interest and modern collectibles of any age. Dash plaques and T-shirts will be given to the first 250 cars registered. Trophy presentation will be at 2:45 PM at the Glasstown Plaza. Judges will award over 50 trophies, including two Best of
Show. In case of rain, the show will be held the following Saturday, August 16th. For car
