HOUSING BRIEF
🏡If you live in Phoenix, AZ or Tampa, FL, these markets have seen the most price cuts by 29% and 25% respectively, according to Realtor.com, partly due to "ample supply" and lower demand.
💫However, if you're in Wisconsin, prices continue to rise! According to the Wisconsin Realtors Association's housing report for the month of April 2026, home sales were on the rise by +7.4% and the median price increased by +6.3% to $340,000.
👀Wisconsin housing inventory also rose by 5.6%, growing to 3.7 months of inventory, which is still below the needed supply of 6 months to indicate a balanced market.
👍Wisconsin still shows signs of strong seller's market but home affordability decreased by 1.6% primarily due to home appreciation rates.
👉Many Milwaukee property owners received their tax assessment notices in April indicating a hike in assessed value and related property tax burdens, in some cases increasing over 15%-18% or more annually.
🌷The Spring market is definitely off to a booming start as the momentum continues.
