JUNE PET OF THE MONTH: Meet Hank!

Hank is a Texas-born rescue (Dec 2024-ish) who came to Wisconsin with his brothers Waylon and Willie in June 2025—presumably after causing some mischief down south and needing to flee the law. Despite surviving major hip surgery and intensive PT four months after adopting him (including pool workouts in Florida), Hank is now fully healed and bursting with joy. He’s bright, energetic, and endlessly loving. Hank enjoys shoe-stealing (collection only, no chewing), wrestling other dogs, and convincing people to chase him by grabbing whatever valuable (or illicit) items he can carry. A long-legged mix of chihuahua, poodle, yorkie, and supermutt, he’s currently enrolled in obedience and agility classes. He’s usually very quiet, so if he barks as he adjusts to our new home please know that I’m chatting with him via Furbo to help him settle. We look forward to exploring Tribute and the area!

ICYMI: we showed a little love to Tribute’s clubroom and gave it a few upgrades to modernize it, and bring our residents more seating for hanging out and events.

MEET OUR MAY PET OF THE MONTH: RUBY 🐾

Ruby is a nearly two-year-old rescue pup who was adopted at four months old and has been keeping life fun ever since. She’s a mix of German Shepherd, Boxer, and a few other breeds, which shows in her intelligence, curiosity, and sweet personality. Ruby loves learning and has an impressive trick list—including her very dramatic “play dead.”

When she’s not showing off, she’s always up for an adventure—whether it’s a car ride, long walk, or exploring somewhere new (especially if a pup cup is involved). She also loves the water and will happily jump in to swim whenever she gets the chance. Smart, active, and affectionate, Ruby brings energy and personality wherever she goes.

Hello! My name is Gaio.

Like Gaia, Mother Earth but the baby boy version. Don’t get confused with the Spanish word for chicken “gallo”, although chicken is my absolute favorite snack. Between you and I though, that’s just a coincidence haha.

I am two years old and the smartest cat on the block. I’m leash trained, harness trained, and always ready to go outside. All birds beware!

My fur of gray and white blend to make a 7 on my forehead. My pops calls this a lucky blessing. I have tan green eyes, a cute pink nose, and a tail as long as my body.

If you ever hear me in the hallway, say hi back!

Meet Tribute’s March Pet of the Month: Lorelei! ☘️🍀

She is a one-eyed Tabby/Bengal mix who traveled to Milwaukee from Cleveland with her mom in early 2023 and has loved it here ever since. Some of her favorite activities include winking at everybody, meowing loudly and zooming around the apartment at 3am, and watching the birds fly around outside. She’s the sweetest, cuddliest, and most loving cat anybody could ask for and she loves saying hello to everyone while she’s sunbathing on the balcony, so feel free to say hi if you see her this summer!
