Today, we’re celebrating Zach Byrne, nominated for Maintenance Associate of the Year (Under 150 Units). Since joining Mandel Group in 2022, Zach has continued to grow both his technical expertise and leadership skills, earning his CAMT certification and advancing into the Maintenance Manager role in 2025. Over the past year, he took on the challenge of largely managing DoMUS on his own while maintaining a high level of service for residents and keeping the community running smoothly. His dedication and care have made a meaningful impact, reflected in both the strong reputation of the community and the positive relationships he has built with residents.

Day 24 of highlighting our deserving AOMA TOBY Award nominees! Today, we’re celebrating Tom Perich, nominated for Maintenance Associate of the Year (Over 150 Units).

Since joining Mandel Group in 2009, Tom has been an essential part of the team at East Pointe Commons, bringing years of technical knowledge, leadership, and dedication to his community. Over the past year, he played an important role in navigating major ownership and capital improvement projects at the property, balancing complex operational needs while keeping residents informed and minimizing disruptions.

Tom’s commitment to his team and community goes well beyond day-to-day maintenance. He works closely with leadership on long-term planning and operational initiatives, embraces new tools and technology, and consistently looks for ways to improve efficiency. His dedication and leadership were recognized earlier this year when he was named Maintenance Supervisor of the Year at Mandel Group’s annual Summit.

Day 22 of highlighting our deserving AOMA TOBY Award nominees! Today, we’re celebrating Tawny Schulz, nominated for Assistant Manager of the Year at Norden Range Apartments.

Over the past year, Tawny has played a vital role in the success and stabilization of Norden Range, helping guide the community through lease-up, staffing transitions, and continued growth. Her leadership was especially evident when the community experienced significant staffing changes, stepping up to take on additional responsibilities and help keep operations running smoothly while ensuring residents continued to receive a great experience.

Tawny’s creativity and commitment to the community have also made a lasting impact. She was recognized with Mandel Group’s Top Technology Talent Award for her innovative approach to social media and has built meaningful partnerships with local businesses that bring added value to Norden Range residents. For more than 14 years, Stacy has been a driving force at Mandel Group, growing through leadership roles at River’s Edge, Velo Village, and now Crescent and Echelon Apartments. As a Multi-Site Community Manager, she brings the experience, organization, and care needed to successfully lead two communities while making residents and team members feel supported and valued.

Throughout her career, Stacy has guided communities through major transitions, supported portfolio initiatives, and become a trusted mentor and resource to associates across the company. She has helped develop team members and encouraged others to grow into new opportunities, while bringing the same positive energy and genuine care to every community and team she leads.

She has also stepped in to support Taxco during a staffing shortage and recently transitioned into joined The North End's team full-time, bringing the same flexibility and enthusiasm wherever she is needed.

Throughout 2025, her primary focus became the successful stabilization, operational ex*****on, and resident experience at Mandel’s newest community. Caroline Heights. From the start, Pam was faced with the realities of a complex lease-up environment, including phased building deliveries, evolving construction schedules, occupancy coordination, and shifting move-in timelines. She navigated these challenges with remarkable composure and empathy, balancing resident expectations while coordinating closely with construction teams, vendors, movers, and municipal officials to ensure smooth transitions for incoming residents.

Pam’s steady leadership, operational expertise, and commitment to resident care have guided Caroline Heights to surpass leasing goals while ensuring residents feel supported through every step of the move-in process.
