I’ve been traveling to Traverse City, Michigan my whole life. It holds a very special place in my heart.

I’ve had so many lifelong memories there, including “popping the question” at Light House Park to Meg Adams.

My grandparents used to live in TC and as kids we’d go up and live the lake lifer every summer for at least a week. A few uncles and aunts got married there. One even lost their wedding ring the night before while skinny dipping in the lake. 🫣.

My family has continued to take trips there most summers and it’s always a highlight of the summer. Our family still has a place to call home right on the bay on the Old Mission Penninsula and it is truly one of the most magical places on earth. It’s called “Club Merce” after our Matriarch who called it home for so many years.

And this year, it’s been named America’s Best Laker Town by someone. I can’t argue.

Traverse City, MI, topped the rankings due to its proximity to natural beauty, marina quality, and access to boat launches.

This is a pretty nice, quick and accurate read on appraisals and how they work and why lenders require them.

In this challenging market, lots of buyers are waiving appraisal contingencies and oftentimes offering to bridge a gap up to a certain dollar amount.

Waiving the appraisal helps buyers win bidding wars, but low valuations are forcing many to cover massive cash gaps to save their deals.

Hey hey hey, what do ya know!? Travel + Leisure ranks Milwaukee as a top city for young people to move.

I’ve always thought Milwaukee is an up and coming spot for people to move. We’re on a huge body of fresh water, pretty isolated from natural disaster weather events and we are “midwest nice”, dontcha know!

Redfin’s latest report shows Milwaukee, Chicago, and Philadelphia outperforming the rest of the country.
