No GED? That does not mean you have to put your career on hold.

In just 4 weeks, eligible participants can work toward earning their GED and CNA credential through our hybrid training pathway with Joyce's Legacy Learning Center and Standard of Excellence Education and Training Center.

Classes begin October 21.

Upon successful completion, participants will also have access to employment connection support through our employment agency partner.

This is more than a class. It is an opportunity to finish what you started, gain an in-demand credential, and step into a new career in healthcare.

Registration is officially OPEN for Legacy of Joy: Families Creating Joy Together!

For the fifth year, Joyce’s Legacy Learning Center is bringing families together to create holiday memories through our annual ornament decorating tradition.

Families will create ornaments that will later be displayed on our selected tree at Community Spirit Park at Cathedral Square, continuing a tradition that celebrates creativity, family, and community.

This year’s event will also highlight the Milwaukee Public Library Makerspace at Park Library, giving families an opportunity to explore one of the creative resources available right here in our community.

We’re shining in our rhinestones today for 9 to 5 Day and celebrating the power of books, literacy, and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Today, we received a $120.00 contribution supporting children in ZIP codes 53206, 53208, and 53215, and we’re grateful for every dollar helping put books into little hands.

As a local nonprofit, we know firsthand how important community support is. We’re proud to help raise awareness and resources for the Imagination Library, while continuing to raise the support needed to sustain the education, literacy, and workforce programs we provide right here in Milwaukee.

So today, celebrate Dolly with us, support early literacy, and if you believe in the work Joyce’s Legacy is doing too, don’t forget about your local girls doing the work every day.
