A message from our CEO, Scott Yauck.

With gratitude and mixed emotions, I’m sharing that Bill Ohm, our Vice President of Design and Construction, will retire effective October 12 after 11 years with Cobalt Partners.
Since joining Cobalt in 2015, Bill has been a key leader in our development process, guiding design and construction, coordinating our architects, engineers, and contractors, and helping bring our projects from concept to completion. He has contributed to every one of the firm’s high-profile projects, leaving a lasting mark on our company and the communities in which we work.
We are deeply grateful for Bill’s leadership, dedication, and the relationships he has built with so many of you. He will be greatly missed, but we’re excited for him to spend more time pursuing his passions, including The Brewed Omen.
We’re also excited to announce that Ryan Steenhagen has joined Cobalt Partners as Vice President of Development and will assume Bill’s responsibilities effective October 12. We look forward to introducing Ryan to our partners and sharing a formal announcement with more details about his role in the near future.
Please join me in thanking Bill for his outstanding work, wishing him a rewarding and well-deserved retirement, and welcoming Ryan to Cobalt.

Ahem…Brewed Omen in beautiful Downtown Hartford!

What is one bucket-list item you WILL accomplish?
Setting foot on all 7 continents before I am 60 years old. (Note: He has done 4 with the 5th one coming later this year).

What is your favorite Cobalt project and why?
Ascension Micro Hospital on the former Ernie von Schloedorn lot. Built during the pandemic with a demanding tenant, it was on time and on budget. Plenty of hurdles were overcome, turned out to be a great project for us.

What is the most rewarding part of your role at Cobalt?
Seeing the result of our projects while out-and-about in the community.
