TRIGGER WARNING! Has this happened to you before? There’s nothing that will truly freak you out like your car getting broken into. Especially if it’s parked outside your home.

This happened to me last winter. Someone broke into and tried to steal a rental car I had. All of a sudden everything became suspect in my neighborhood to me. I became hyper vigilant. The rising crime stats in my city become personal.

I'm telling this story because I want to start a convo about your neighborhood. This does not need to happen, and it shouldn't happen. Maybe your experience with your neighborhood hasn't been this traumatic, but maybe it just doesn't have any community. If you're in a busier area then maybe you’re always worried about the dog or your kids being by a busy street. You can’t turn your back as much because there’s people you just don’t know.

All in all, the environment you’re in just isn’t ideal to raise kids. If you have kids, maybe you already feel this. If you don’t have kids, maybe you’re feeling unprepared knowing you could get pregnant at any time.

Either way let me ask, is this post resonating in the heart and soul a bit? If so, it could be time to start the process of making a real estate move and taking care of the fam's safety (and your mental health lol).
