The Scott County CDA celebrated a ribbon cutting for its newest Community Land Trust (CLT) homes in Shakopee. Partners from MN Housing, Met Council, Scott County, Shakopee Public Utilities, CenterPoint Energy, local legislators, architects, contractors, and more joined to mark the completion of the first three homes in this 10-lot subdivision.

The City of Oakdale has partnered with the Washington County Community Development Agency to offer eligible homebuyers and homeowners with financial assistance through two grant and loan programs. The First-Generation Homebuyer Grant Program provides up to $10,000 in grants for eligible residents to purchase a home in Oakdale. Through the Repair and Renovate Program, eligible homeowners are eligible for up to $10,000 in forgivable loans for eligible home repairs.

It’s here! Burnsville's Down Payment Assistance Program is officially open! 🎉

Starting today, qualifying households can apply for up to $41,000 to help purchase a home right here in Burnsville.

To apply, you'll need:

- A mortgage pre-approval
- A signed purchase agreement for a Burnsville home
- Household income at or below 80% Area Median Income
- Borrower must contribute at least 1% of the home purchase price of their own funds to be used towards either the mortgage down payment or closing costs

Don't wait - funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Learn about the historical resources at the library and across the county that will help you piece together a history of your Minneapolis house, neighborhood or property. Staff from Hennepin County Library's Special Collections will explain and demonstrate resources, emphasizing online resources in the Digital Collections that will allow you to jump-start your research from home – including permit records, maps, city directories, newspapers, photos and more.

This class is best suited for researching properties located in the city of Minneapolis, though some county-wide resources will be discussed.
