Although interest rates seem to be on a high right now, they are more reflective of where the economy actually is, especially in comparison to the supply and demand of housing availability.

The days of 1-3% interest rates may be gone, but they were never going to stay…in 1980 interest rates went soaring to 18% and there has been a steady decline since. Keeping in mind the housing crisis of 2007/2008, these rates fluctuate with how the economy responds to a volatile market.

The world has been volatile and this is one of the many challenges we will continue to face, but it’s not an end all - be all for the housing industry.

According to Yahoo Finance, there is hope on the horizon for a slight drop in rates this coming fall.
