You know the saying… “ The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result” This beautiful modern new construction home sat on the market for a while prior to my consultation. The kitchen is beautiful but when trying to appeal to the maximum amount of buyers and market it differently, I suggested a few simple changes to switch up the look.

• New cabinet hardware
• new lighting
• stage the home

These small changes really softened the kitchen and made it more Transitional in style.

I was called out to consult on a house that had sat on the market for a while. A stunning modern exterior but felt a little cold or stark-

My recommendations:

• add landscaping to soften the exterior and boost curb appeal
• stain the cedar a slightly warmer tone
• stage the front porch
• consider painting the front door a muted olive green to break up all the black.

The client did 3/4 of my recommendations and boy did it make a difference. The next time I pulled up, I felt like I was at a different house! 🙌
