A few years ago, I helped a couple buy a house. When they recently contacted me with a question, I gave them a thorough answer (complete with a numbered list, detailed examples, and multiple recommendations). They thanked me for ‘A perfectly Evan answer’. What does that mean? It means that they knew they could count on me to provide helpful, thorough guidance. Yes, sometimes I overexplain and use too many bullet points, but that’s my nature. Don’t change who you are in business or in relationships. The people who value what you offer will appreciate it.

A common question I get: 'I've seen some recent price drops in the market, are home prices falling in the Twin Cities?' The actual answer is no.
What you're seeing is sellers who set aspirational prices for their home, assuming that appreciation would continue at the exceptionally high rates we saw in 2021/22 (almost 20%). Instead, even with price drops, home prices are appreciating at 5 or 6% over this time last year.
