4th Street Housing Co-op 4th Street Housing Co-op is a cooperatively-owned, democratically-run housing co-op in Minneapolis, MN Everyone's energy, participation and ideas are welcome!

4th Street Housing Cooperative is a 16-unit apartment complex located in the heart of Dinkytown near the University of Minnesota’s East Bank. 4th Street is a member co-op of Riverton Community Housing, a non-profit organization whose mission is to "develop and maintain quality housing communities operating on a non-profit, democratic basis.
4th Street is different from other apartment complexes. E

veryone who moves into 4th Street becomes a member of the co-op. Decisions about the building, such as planning the budget, rent levels, social events, and building improvements are made by the board of directors. This board is made up of volunteers who are residents of the building. Through member participation and involvement, the co-op can respond to the needs of its residents all while keeping costs down.
