Each year, we host this event so guests can enjoy one last outdoor celebration of our community’s heritage at our Possibility Place Shelter, 614 South 3rd Street, Minneapolis. We need volunteers on Thursday, September 24, for the following shifts:

We're thrilled to share even more exciting news! 🎉 After last week's opening of our third shelter—Belonging Place—we're taking another bold step by acquiring the former First Covenant Church Minneapolis next week. This incredible opportunity lets us build on the church's Healing Block legacy and deepen our commitment to caring for the community. 🤝 ❤️ This new PSP site—which we're calling Covenant Commons—will ensure the ongoing success of our highly acclaimed 4-Star Parent Aware-rated Early Learning Center, continuing to serve children and families at this location.

We opened a brand new shelter, Belonging Place, in just a few weeks! 💜 None of this would have been possible without our incredible staff and the unstoppable support of our community. Huge shoutout to Bridge to Basics for donating family-sized hygiene products, Supreme Council of America for assembling and donating bathroom kits, and Pope Design Group's DEI Committee for providing 50 backpacks—helping every new Belonging Place family feel welcomed and supported. 🫶

Today, nearly 200 K-12 students living in our shelters are heading back to school! 🎒Thanks to the Homeless/Highly Mobile Department at Minneapolis Public Schools, every child has a guaranteed ride to and from their home school. Each day, about 115 school buses ensure families don’t have to worry about how their children will get to school. 🚌 Together, we’re removing barriers and helping students experiencing homelessness thrive. 🤝💫

🎉 It’s official—Belonging Place is OPEN! Today, we start welcoming 52 more families. Endless thanks to our AMAZING staff for making this vision a reality, and a heartfelt welcome to our newest team members who joined us on-site yesterday. 🏠✨
