Preparing for Emergencies How prepared are you?
It is always a great idea to be prepared for any emergency or Natural disaster with a few thoughtful measures! This was tough this week be ready for what is next!
1) Be sure to always have a fully stocked First aid kit
2) Stock an adequate supply of drinking water and it is recommended to have at least a 2 week supply to accommodate a gallon of water per day for each individual. It is always helpful to have powdered flavored drinks to add for variety.
3) Matches or a lighter to light candles in case of a power outage.
4) Candles, flashlights or solar powered lanterns
5) Batteries for radios etc…….
6) Chlorine bleach for general cleaning and water purification
7) Nonperishable food items such as canned fruits, soups, spaghetti sauce, tuna, vegetables etc…..
8) Backpack, compass and maps in case you need to leave your home due to fire or flood
9) Manual can opener, heavy duty aluminum foil, warm blankets 10) If you are on Doctor prescribed medications try to have a few extra weeks supply in case you are unable to get to a pharmacy.
