Please try not to venture out this week unless you need to! If you’re going out keep these tips in mind. If your a/c isn’t working please call the office at 574-256-5688 and we will get someone out for you.
Stay Cool and drink your water my friends!

Hey, everyone. By now, we all know the heat is on. Here are a few elementary safety tips I put together. This is heat we've seen before... and we'll see again. For most, not a huge deal. But for folks outdoors (construction workers, first responders, farmers, etc)... it's important to take it seriously.

The most dangerous part of this forecast is not the temperatures/heat index during the day. It's the overnight lows, which barely dip into the middle 70s. Those without A/C don't physically get an opportunity to cool down.

Let me know your tips & tricks for battling the Midwest heat wave!

Please stay weather aware tonight!

7:45p EDT update: One lone storm to our west as of this update, and it's a doozy. A tornado is on the ground with this storm, with golf ball size hail being reported. This is near Kankakee, IL pushing northeast.

Southern Lake, Porter, Newton and Jasper county would be in its path in the next hour if it holds together.

As this (and other storms) approach Michiana, I do plan to do an extended live stream. You can see it right here or at the top of the Matt Rudkin WX app. I am going to keep it informal tonight, since we may be together for an extended period of time. I'll certainly use to it to keep you ahead of the storms, but also learn a thing or two about reading radar.

Thank you to Paul Davis Restoration of North Central Indiana for being the exclusive sponsor of the radar on the Matt Rudkin WX App. Couldn't do it without these folks!!!

Due to inclement weather, our office will be closed today. We will remain accessible via phone at 574-256-5688. Our staff is diligently working to clear and salt sidewalks and roads.

Can someone place an order for ☀️ please?

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: 𝟳:𝟰𝟱 𝗔.𝗠. | Unfortunately, this has been a pretty normal scene for us this morning. The road crews are doing their best to keep up… but the very heavy snow overnight has made many roads a bit difficult to navigate.

Our advice? If you don’t need to be out today… it may be best to stay in and let the plows do their thing.

Frigid temperatures and more snow! Please if you don’t have to travel, stay inside and warm!!
