I used to dread inspections.

Not because of the report, but because it always felt like everyone was mad.

The buyer thought the house was falling apart.

The seller felt attacked.

The inspector was just doing their job.

Then somewhere along the way I realized every house has a list.

The house you grew up in.

Your current house.

The million dollar custom build.

Most of the time we’re just trying to figure out the difference between:

🔧 welcome to homeownership

It’s gotten easier since I stopped looking at inspections like a fight and started looking at them like a homeowner.

And no, the tree probably isn’t destroying the house.

We all forget to make a hair appointment sometimes. 🌳🤣
