🏡 Travelers, Did You Know You Can Save Money by Booking Direct?

The vacation rental industry has been going through some big changes, and we wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes information to help you make the best decision when planning your next getaway!

Here’s what’s happening:

🏡 Airbnb: Airbnb has changed its fee structure for many hosts, shifting more of the service fees to property owners. This means hosts are paying higher commissions, which can lead to higher nightly rates for guests.

🏡 VRBO: VRBO also charges hosts booking fees, and guests may pay additional service fees on top of their reservation.

🏡 Booking.com: Hosts often pay commissions of 15% or more for reservations made through the platform.

So what does this mean for you?

When booking through third-party platforms, you may be paying more than you need to. Many vacation rental owners have their own websites where you can book directly, avoid certain platform fees, and communicate directly with the people managing your stay.

❤️ At Angel Rock Rentals of Moab, we believe in keeping things simple, affordable, and personal!

We’re a locally owned and operated vacation rental business, and we love welcoming guests to beautiful Moab, Utah!

When you book directly with us, you’ll enjoy:

✅ Our best available rates

✅ No additional third-party booking platform service fees

✅ Direct communication with us before and during your stay

✅ The same comfortable, clean accommodations you’ve come to expect

✅ Friendly, personalized service from a local business

Our tip for travelers: Before booking your next vacation rental through Airbnb, VRBO, or Booking.com, take a minute to search for the property’s direct booking website. You might be surprised how much you can save!

It's monsoon season in the desert! In late summer, we often see late afternoon thunderstorms. Check the weather before heading out on your adventure to make sure you don't get stuck — and if you see dark clouds forming, consider wrapping up early!
