MOBILE'S FIRST CRAFT DISTILLERY WILL BE HERE
A prime location on Government Street in Downtown Mobile will be the home of the city's first craft distillery.

Deerfish Distilling Co. has announced it is moving into 757 Government St., which was formerly the location of Lush Florist and Gifts.

Lush announced Friday its new location will be at 221 Dauphin St. next to Soul Kitchen Music Hall.

As previously reported, Deerfish Distilling will incorporate “ready to drink cocktails, vodka, gin, whiskey, bourbon and brandy, among other spirits. Our goal is to use local botanicals to create seasonal varieties unique to Mobile, Alabama, and the Southern Gulf Coast in general. Our master distiller is truly an artist in his craft and is looking forward to experimenting with local flora and fauna to bring notoriety to Mobile in the craft distilling world.”

A Deerfish Distilling spokesperson said they are still in the permitting process and hope to be open by the end of November.
