South Alabama Homes is looking to hire a Carpenter/Labor.This position requires a multi-skilled individual with the ability to 'wear many hats.' This is a full-time position. This position requires the individual to have some skills in and perform the following tasks. It is not expected that the successful candidate will be proficient in all of these categories:

Rough carpentry and trim carpentry
Light Fixture changes
Filter changes
Painting/touch up painting
Lock repairs/changes
Appliance Repair
Section 8 Inspections
Install/repair windows
General Preventative maintenance
Plumbing repairs
Sheetrock repairs
Electrical repairs

Two years experience is required in a position with similar responsibilities.
Friendly customer service skills and self-motivation with a willingness to learn are a must. A keen eye for detail, timeliness and organization are essential along with the following character traits: reliability, consistency and trustworthiness. A valid driver's license with a vehicle in good working condition are required. Travel within 1 hour of Mobile is also required. Please be prepared to offer up at least one non-family member reference for your prior work. Must have the ability to lift at least 50lbs and be willing to submit to random drug testing.
