Do you know what a lack of gutters leads to? In most cases, it leads to moisture intrusion! During all of the rain that the Central Valley has been experiencing, chances of moisture intrusion is so much higher. At this house, the water spills right over the fascia onto the porch and was seeping back into the structure, causing damage to the exterior door and hardwood floor. It even found it’s way into the sub area and is beginning to cause damage to the underlayment, sub floor, and sill plate. This could have potentially been avoided with the installation of gutters around the home.
