While most inspectors take this step, we’ve recently found that some inspectors stop at the minimum requirements. But some of the most serious safety concerns are found inside that panel. That’s where you’ll find things like double tapped breakers, loose wiring, or signs of overheating. None of that is visible from the outside.

New build. Fresh paint. Zero problems… right?

I inspect brand new homes every week, and I still find things like missing insulation, loose fixtures, disconnected vents, drainage sloped toward the house, cabinetry cracked or improperly installed... the list is endless.

Some issues are not obvious during a walkthrough without proper training and once you move in, small construction mistakes can turn into big, expensive headaches.

A builder warranty helps, but new doesn’t mean perfect.
