⏰ WHEN DO YOU PAY IT?
Once your offer is accepted, your earnest money is deposited with the escrow/title company according to the timeline in your purchase agreement.

🔑 DO YOU LOSE IT?
Not automatically! Your contract outlines when your earnest money may be refundable and when it could be at risk—which is why understanding your contingencies and deadlines is so important.
