1:00 AM Drain Call… from my daughter. 😂
My daughter came into my room at 1:00 AM and said, “Mom, my bathroom sink won’t drain.”
The culprit? A good old-fashioned sink clog.
When you really think about what goes down a bathroom sink every day, it’s no surprise:
🪥 Toothpaste
💦 Spit from brushing teeth
🧼 Soap… and lots of it
💇♀️ Hair
Over time, all of that builds up until the water has nowhere to go.
Instead of just clearing the clog and sending her back to bed, I had her sit with me while I took care of it. We talked about how plumbing works, where the water goes after it leaves the sink, and why these clogs happen in the first place.
Then I asked, “So… do you think you could do it yourself next time?”
Her answer? “No.” 😂
Schitt happens to all of us… even your local drain experts. 😉
We wanted to share this because even in our own home, drains clog from normal, everyday use. It doesn’t mean you’ve done something wrong—it just means life (and soap, toothpaste, and hair) have been doing what they do.
The difference is knowing how to get things flowing again.
So if your sink is draining slowly or has stopped altogether, don’t stress. It’s a common problem, and it’s one we can take care of.
Now the drain is flowing, my daughter learned something new, and we’re headed back to bed.
Goodnight from your friendly neighborhood drain cleaning family. 💚🚿
