Join MADD on August 8th at Munson Park for our second annual Mothers Against Drunk Driving Walk in Monroe as we honor the life of Darrian Young.

Darrian tragically lost her life on June 4th, 2020, after being struck by an impaired driver who was driving at more than double the legal limit. She was an animal control officer with a deep love for animals, especially horses. More than that, she was a daughter, sister, granddaughter, friend, and someone who had her whole life ahead of her.

This was a preventable tragedy that never should have happened.

This walk is for Darrian, for the lives lost too soon, for those still fighting to heal, and for the families forever changed by impaired driving. We walk in remembrance, in support, and in hopes of creating change so no other family has to experience this kind of loss.

In honor of Darrian’s love for animals, donations of dog food and supplies for The Last Stop Animal Rescue and Sanctuary are welcomed and appreciated.

Registration is open now. We hope you’ll join us in remembering Darrian and standing with us in the fight against drunk driving.
