As many of you know I recently started my own independent mortgage brokerage. At a time when a lot of people are being laid off and losing their jobs I am blessed to have had my best month in this industry since 2002. I really want to thank everyone that trusts me with such an important part of their lives and all the realtors that continue to send me referrals and trust in me every day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I really want to give back to those going through a financial hardship as a result of the Corona virus. I have decided to help one person/family in need- I wish I could help you all!
The problem:

Many people are under the misconception that the next few months are a mortgage holiday due to the news basically plastering it all over the place. If you lost your job and due to this pandemic, I get it- things are tough. Unfortunately, many others may just use this as an opportunity to not make their payment when they have savings, they have not lost their job and the just feel like they Don’t have to. I’ve watched the devastation that could happen in the banking system back in 2006-2008 when the masses stop making payments. I’ve already seen lenders going out of business- cutting programs and/or making guidelines tougher out of fear that people will just stop paying their mortgage all together over the next few months. (Hasn’t even happened yet)

What I would like to do to give back:

I am personally going to make the mortgage payment for one family/person at random for up to $2000, not to exceed that winners actual mortgage payment. I will pick one winner from a hat on Sunday at 8pm on 4/5/2020. This will be recorded. I will contact the winner privately, over the phone, to let them know that they won. If they are ok w me posting the video, I will. If they ask for privacy- they will get it and the winner will not be announced publicly.

The rules:

1. To enter the contest you must message me or post your name, email and phone number before 3pm Sunday 4/5/2020.

2. It must be for a mortgage tied to your primary residence (you will have to document this is assistance for your primary residence)

3. You must be able to document that you or your spouse has been laid off or let go DUE TO the corona virus pandemic. (Proof you are receiving unemployment and/or a signed letter from your recent employer confirming the reasons of your separation was directly related to the corona virus pandemic will be requested. If self employed, evidence your business has been dissolved or shut down temporarily as a result of the shut down will be required)

4. Due to compliance reasons, and worry over any potential RESPA violations, real estate agents and other real estate related industry professionals are not eligible for the contest. Please note- sharing this to your page so our people in need can find out about this contest would be greatly appreciated.

5. This is a FB only contest and the winners mortgage payment of up to $2000- not to exceed the winners actual mortgage payment will be made directly to the winners mortgage lender. A mortgage statement will need to be provided.
