Put up your feet, ya’ll! The Labor Day weekend is here! YES!

If you're keeping it low-key at home this year, here are a handful of ways to spend the weekend: 

- Kick off the celebration with breakfast delivered from your favorite local spot. Have ingredients for mimosas on hand to toast the three-day weekend!
- Who said beach games have to stay at the beach? Round up some friends to play Kan Jam, Spike Ball, Bucket Ball, or Bocce Ball.
- Plan a BBQ sauce competition with neighbors and friends.
- Feeling like some alone time is in order? Then kick back with a spa night, Netflix binge, or a best-selling page-turner.
- Camp out in the backyard with the kids - go on and say yes! It's one last hooray before summer makes her exit.
- Stay close but hit the road. Plan a day trip to a nearby town, park, or attraction you’ve never explored.

Labor Day is all about giving yourself a break from the daily grind, so relax and enjoy time with your loved ones.

It’s that time (again) — time to get your home primed and ready for a new season. Summer temps and rains can take a toll, so here are a few maintenance tasks to perfect for your to-do list this September: 

1. Change the air filters. 
2. Check the exterior for areas where critters can get inside.
3. Clean out the garbage cans.
4. Clear out the gutters.
5. Inspect and clean the siding
6. Inspect your home’s windows and clean inside and out.
7. Repair leaky faucets
8. Schedule an HVAC maintenance appointment.
9. Test all smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
10. Deep clean the refrigerator.

Wash away winter’s dirt and grime from your windows so you can actually enjoy your beautiful yard as things bloom.⁣
Winter weather can take a toll on hard surfaces. Check for new or widening cracks on your patios and sidewalks, replace damaged pavers, and fire up the pressure washer.⁣
Don’t wait for temps to climb before double-checking that your air-conditioning unit is in good working order. A typical AC service check will cost anywhere from $75 to $200—and it's totally worth every penny.⁣
Just because your lawn is green today doesn’t mean it’s ready for summer. Your grass needs nutrients, and May is a great time to add fertilizer to keep those weeds at bay all summer long.⁣
Long before you fire up the grill, make sure the grills are clean, the connections are secure, and your propane tanks are full.⁣
Cold temps can cause wood to warp so check for loose boards and broken gate latches to keep kids and pets where they should be.⁣
Fresh mulch is like a new paint job for your outdoors. Aim to spread mulch 2 to 4 inches across all your beds. ⁣
