14 Gray Street is officially SOLD, and I think I need a quick minute to process the worldwind of this summer. ☀
Watching my son's closest of friends make a huge pivot and decide to go to school in California, and then helping this family prep for the West Coast move with an incredibly strong single mom at the helm, was wild. I am officially entering that phase where the kids scatter, the neighborhood shifts, and the long-time crew moves on. I’m not gonna lie, I’m not entirely comfortable with this new stage of life.
And because real estate loves a plot twist: right after we celebrated prom, had a fabulous open house weekend, secured excited buyers and celebrated our sons' graduation from Montclair High School, that wacky, windy July 3rd storm decided to literally drop a tree on the roof. 🌪Cue absolute chaos.
Between the seller coordinating the millions of vendor appointment, figuring out the mountain of emergency repairs and insurance hoops, and me trying to keep the deal alive, it was a total circus. But hey, when 💩 hits the fan, you want me in your corner. 💪
Those first buyers couldn't hack it and we couldn't wait for repairs to be done to hit the market again. Luckily I am a KW agent and I have lots of resources. I rolled up my sleeves, handled the madness step-by-step, secured a new buyer and got it across the finish line completely intact. Many thanks to my amazingly resilient seller for her trust & patience, my gem of a broker for all the wisdom and to my fellow KW agent for navigating her buyers through this transaction all while we were under repair. 👷♀️
Huge congrats to this family on their massive new adventure. California awaits! Now, excuse me, I’m off to forbid my other kids from aging any further. 🥂✨
